Scott Ganson - owner

An American Meteorological Society (AMS) Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM), Scott has over 15 years of software development experience, specifically in the creation of state-of-the-science polarimetric radar algorithms and meteorological displays. Scott found a passion for meteorology early in his life, and that continues today through his love for mountain biking, kayaking and the outdoors in general. As a researcher he was one of the original authors of the polarimetric Hail Size Discrimination Algorithm (HSDA) and a pioneer in interactive meteorological displays. Throughout his career, he has continued to be an integral part of polarimetric weather radar applied research and subsequently the transition of this research into numerous operational software packages. His CV is available here.

Michelle Ganson - owner

Michelle brings to GWG her varied background in both Meteorology and Music. Having worked as a forensic meteorologist and then as the Education Coordinator for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Michelle brings an invaluable expertise to GWG spearheading the outreach programs. By combining her past experiences in both weather and the fine arts, Michelle will help teach young children and students about the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) education and how weather affects us in our day-to-day lives.
